This dog park is a great option on those extra sunny and warm days in the summer as there are tons of trees that can keep you and your dog feeling cool. But even though there are tons of shady trees, there’s still a ton of room for dogs to play around and meet new friends. The Adair Dog Park does not have a separate area for small dogs so only take your pup if they feel comfortable around large dogs. However, the park is U-shaped so you can always take them to one end if you want to spend some one-on-one time with them. If you’re going to be visiting Adair Dog Park on a warm day, make sure to pack water and a collapsible dish for your dog as you don’t want them to develop heat exhaustion. 

Aside from its hilarious and ever-so-memorable name, Burger Park is a wonderful place to visit if you have a small, medium, or large breed. The off-leash dog park has separate areas for small and large dogs, which is divided by a fence. Unlike Adair Dog Park, Burger Park has less shady trees so avoid visiting the park when it’s extremely sunny out. Pup owners are sure to appreciate the seating options and drinking fountains that are installed in the park for the dogs. It’s filled with tons of grassy areas for dogs to run and play fetch. 

Looking to share a unique experience with your pup? Look no further than the Centennial Olympic Park. The large park is great for dog walks and there is even an off-leash, fenced-in area where you can let your dog run free. Inside the park, you’ll find an interactive fountain that features the Olympic Ring symbol as the park opened in 1996, the year when Atlanta was the proud host of the Summer Olympic Games. The dog-friendly park has several stands that are stocked with poop bags, along with lots of areas where you can snag a cute, outdoorsy photo of your dog. 

We promise that your visit to Fetch Park will be one that you’ll remember forever as there’s a full-service restaurant, bar, Wi-Fi, and outdoor televisions. There’s also tons of seating so that you can kick back and relax while your dog enjoys socializing among all of the pet-friendly amenities. Fetch Park has a large space covered in turf, water stations, and even a dog wash station if your dog needs a good clean before returning to your hotel. The dog park also has staff specially designated to monitor dogs within the area to ensure that everyone is getting along. This trailblazing dog park does cost money to enter and also offers weekly and monthly plans. But for a modest $10, you and your dog can spend some quality time together as you sip on an ice-cold drink. In order to enter Fetch Park, owners will need to provide their dog’s vaccination records. 

This dog park spans over two acres! Half of it is wooded and the other half is an open, grass field, which makes it ideal for dogs that love to rip around in circles as others chase them. The well-maintained dog park features lots of parking, water fountains, washing area, and poop bag stands. However, there are no restrooms for humans. If you’ve got a chihuahua or miniature breed, there’s also a separate area for small dogs. For the owners, there’s a walking path that winds through the dog park so that they can stretch their legs as well. The park is maintained by volunteers and community members. 

This dog park is the place to go if you’re wanting to have a picnic where your dog can be included. Oakhurst Dog Park is rather large in size and there are tons of shaded areas and trails, which are perfect for warm summer days. There are several picnic tables and benches within the fenced-in dog park. Water stations and even a bone-shaped pup pool will help keep your dog cool when the temperatures are high. Because the dog park is in a woodsy area, it does tend to get muddy after it rains. But thankfully, the dog park has a hose that can be used to spray your pup off once he or she is done romping around. 

While this dog park can be a little tricky to locate, it’s got plenty of parking waiting for you. It can be difficult to see from the highway as it is at the bottom of a hill. Chamblee Dog Park has large green areas filled with real grass for both small and large breeds. It’s well-maintained, clean, and even has a double gate entrance to ensure that no pups get loose. There are also water fountains for humans and dogs, dog bag stands, and agility props for high-energy dogs to take full advantage of. Depending on the time of day when you visit, it can be on the emptier side as a lot of people have yet to discover this hidden gem of a dog park.

Last but certainly not least is Waggy World Paw Park, a place where your dog can jump over obstacles in an area that’s shaded by trees. There are separate areas for small and large breeds, plenty of benches for humans, and clean drinking water so that dogs can stay hydrated. Visitors note that this dog park can be slightly difficult to find, especially if you’re relying on your GPS as it will take you to the parking lot of a community building. Once you’ve arrived at the building, it’s best to hop out of your vehicle with your dog and walk down the slope behind it. After a little bit of searching, most people find the dog park and report that it is totally worth the hunt.
